Dear Friends, Sponsors, Camel lovers,

I wanted to write and personally thank you for supporting me "Humphrey the Camel" and the London Marathon team. Your generous sponsorship will enable WaterAid to bring clean water and sanitation to families in India. Thank you so much....

I know that not everyone will get the opportunity to run in the London Marathon (the great urban Everest) and even fewer Camels are invited to compete.

I will be running on Sunday on your behalf (and aim to make you proud..). It will be a great encouragement to know that there are hundreds of Camel supporters shouting and cheering me on...I'll be looking out for you!

I have had a good Camel build up to the Marathon with a successful Reading Half Marathon and Maidenhead 10 mile race under my fur...although my training has been a little on the light side....mmm 26 miles seems a long way now.....a few nerves and butterflies..

I have a few final preparations to ensure I don't pop a stitch on the day....but I think I am just about ready to go....

I have been offered accommodation in Blackheath on the Saturday night, so we will be able to roll out of bed and join the masses of humans on the start line. I can't wait.
