I was honoured to be invited to Amy's 4th Birthday Party on a sunny afternoon in North London. I have run many marathons but was not quite sure how to behave at a party!! I had nothing to fear really as the kids were so cute and friendly (not much pulling on my tail).
I could not quite get my legs co-ordinated during my dance routine (must have been the stage butterflies...). The kids played pass the parcel while I danced around, when the music stopped the kids shouted "Stop Humphrey Stop!" (my ears were blocked with sand...)
The boys challenged the girls to a obstacle course race (I was one of the obstacles).
While I had a snooze my able assistants took to the task of face painting. They seemed to get on well considering a lack of artistic ability! A parent spoke to one of the boys, "Hi there spiderman!" his reponse was , "...its me Ethan but someone has painted my face"
When I returned all the girls had flowers on their faces being chased by a clown, spiderman and a scary tiger!
We played an interesting game of pin the tail on the camel, before cutting the cake and singing Happy Birthday to Amy.
I do hope Amy enjoyed her Birthday party as much as I did!
