I was so chuffed when Neil Davidson offered to paint for WaterAid! Neil is a talented artist from Zimbabwe (and a good friend of Humphrey's). He gave me a sneak preview of progress on the painting of an Africa Elephant at a waterhole. I am so excited about it, looks super.
Elephants aren't quite as cute as camels but this is one is a beauty! I'd sure love the see this painting on my wall. I will put the painting on display in Clearwater Court in the weeks leading up to World Water Day on the 22nd March 2006 [correction: auction moved to May], when we will auction it for WaterAid. This is a great opportunity to own a lovely painting whilst knowing that your money will be going to help people in India receive safe, sustainable water supplies.
The painting will be on display in Thames Waters, Clearwater Court, Reading from April through to May.
If you are interested in making a bid for the painting please drop me an email with your bid.
