Kay sent me a link with some very interesting camel facts (touching reading for a camel)
"the camel provides food security in times of drought and famine when other livestock are dying or are unproductive. It provides transport, milk, blood, meat and a dozen other products.
Blood is withdrawn from camels and forms an important part of the diet of some non-Muslim pastoralists during the dry season. The camel produces about six times more milk than a cow under similar conditions..." read more
I always new I was productive (better tell my boss), the bit about withdrawing blood sounds a bit painful.
(thanks kay for the link)
