I made it all the way to the top of Cribyn! This was my very first
mountain top experience, and I was a little unsure of myself. How would
the sheep respond? would it be steep? would the rest of my party leave
me behind? I am used to the cheering crowds of London and was a little
apprehensive at the prospect of solitude....well what a day It was.
This went way beyond my wildest expectations...
The clouds cleared and its was a lovely September day in Wales (not
quite as hot as the Saharah). I saw motor bikers, spectacular scenery,
a welsh mens choir sang for me and I met people from all over the
world. I made lots of new friends on the mountain who gave me £81 in
cash for WaterAid (thanks camel friends).
After climbing Cribyn I got into the swing of things and continued up
Pen y Fan and Corn Du. What a day in Wales. I was climbing for fun but
also for a very important cause of bringing clean water and adequate
sanitation to people in poverty. Please consider sponsoring me and the team and give the gift of water to people in need. Go on you will make a real difference to someones life. thanks :-) more stories to come later, but i promised my new found friends
that I would post all their photo's to my frontpage (wow I never
thought I'd meet so many friendly walkers..)
